Government Official of the Year
Any Government employees at the Central, State, Urban Local Body, Panchayat level/ Public Sector Undertakings/ Public Bodies or any organization – who have provided services in the city for the current year as on the date of evaluation by the Jury
Namma Bengalurean of the Year
Any socially responsible Bengalurean citizen who has contributed towards the development of Bengaluru for a period of at least one year as on the date of evaluation while fulfilling legal and ethical requirements
Rising Star of the Year
Any socially responsible Bengalurean citizen under the age of 24 who has sustainably contributed towards the development of Bengaluru for a period of at least one year as on the date of evaluation by the Jury
Social Entrepreneur of the Year
An individual who has used entrepreneurial principles to bring about social change and impact, may or may not be an institution for profit. He must have been operating in Bengaluru for at least one year, as on the date of evaluation by the jury
Media Person of the Year
Any individual employed in the media industry who has highlighted social issues of Bengaluru and reached out to the relevant audience for the overall development of the city in the last one year, ensuring commitment and social ethics
Lifetime Achievement Award
Namma Bengalurean of the Year – Selection by Jury members only.
The Namma Bengaluru Awards is a unique initiative to recognise unsung heroes who go about their work in a quiet selfless manner to make Bengaluru a better place to live in and who believe they can make a difference.
